Something special for first date?

i have been with my girlfriend for a little less then a week. she was the one to ask me out. i had planned to ask her but she beat me to it, lol. anyway, tomorrow is gonna be our first official date as a couple. im planning on creating a flower out of paper. like origami. i coudn't find any colored paper, so im using notecards for strength and im hand coloring each petal with a colored pencil. i plan on getting on one knee and present it to her tomorrow. do you think she would appreciate that? or is it a little overboard? girls, how would you feel if someone did that to you. im just trying to not come off as smothering or overkill.

Don't go overboard. Put it in the visor of your car(passenger side) when you get in the car make an excuse to let the visor down and let it drop in her lap.
Reply:You don't have to get on one knee, if anything, it would embarrass her. I think you should just tell her you have something for her and give it. Or what I usually did, if you are in school, get her locker combo and place it in her locker with some strings so it hangs nicely after she opens it. You don't even have to be there when she opens it, make sure you leave her a nice note to go with it, explaining why you are giving it to her.
Reply:idk, i think thats really sweet but personally not my style, although it might be hers. i would go for like making a picnic type thing for her bring a couple of sandwiches and things and maybe a bottle of champagne. but i dont think it would come off as smothering if you did the flowers- but i think you should get coloured paper.
