Just done a bit of decorating, ready now for a bit of furniture re-arranging?

Would you think that with one wall of black and silver flower wall paper, new design, would look nice with a black metal glass top coffee table or mexican pine table.What could i put nice and modern on the table, either one.

Add a splash of color in a simple collection.





Vases on a table top give a nice modern feel.


Actually a clear rose bowl with floating cut roses would be nice for a switch up..


river rock,candies,real marbles,fruit these can be switched up for entertaining.

Reply:instead of a vase, use a low, wide bowl. a square bowl would look more modern. try to find a red and black one. fill it with fresh cut flowers, red and black jellybeans, red apples, pommegranites, red pistachios, or a square candle surrounded with black, red, and silver glass beads.
Reply:You've actually gone about it a bit backwards - it's much easier to choose the furniture you like and then decorate to match. However, the glass top coffee table is probably fine; it's hard to tell without a picture or knowing with the carpeting, drapes, and artwork you have looks like.





Books are always great for coffee tables (just don't set your drink on them and ruin the dust jacket when it "sweats")! If you're into movies, choose an art book from a favorite movie or two - it could be something with a "dark" cover to go with the black motif, or you could even go with something a stark, bright, white to give it a little contrast and draw the eye. It all depends upon what other things you have in the room and where you want the focal point of the room to be.
Reply:wow_ taht sounds fabulous. i would make sure the paper is more on the silver side as opposed to balack but thats just my taste
Reply:I'd use the black metal glass top table. I'd bring in some red somewhere. Maybe put a red candle on a nice dish and add some pebbles under/around it. That would help balance it out and warm it up.
