My cat is only about 15 weeks old. He eats everything...tassels, fake flowers, human food, paper...etc. Now I dont really care but he keeps throwing up and it is apparent that these things are being eaten. Any suggestions on how to make him stop?
My cat keeps getting sick because he eats everything?
I agree with the first answer to keep these items out of reach, though I know it is hard because kittens jump %26amp; climb on everything %26amp; can get everywhere. If you catch him eating something he shouldn't, spray him with water. That worked with my cats. And since he's a kitten, I think he will eventually grow out of this. Maybe you could keep some catnip around for him to eat, or toys filled with catnip. Maybe that will keep his attention %26amp; he won't eat the other stuff.
Reply:what and how are you feeding the cat??
cats need access to their dry food all the time - there should be a bowl full always...
what kind of food?? is CORN the first ingredient?? cats are true carnivours... what dead animal gives us corn?
Reply:dunno... I got a cat that eats cardboard... if you can keep these things out of his reach, he should stop eating them.
Or, catch him in the act... and hiss at him or spray him with water.
Reply:i have a cat too that is 15 weeks. my cat eats anything. leaves, human food. we have made sure that most of the time those things are out of reach and that we watch she is doing some times when we are sitting at home.
Reply:I have a cat who has been that way ever since I got him and I got him two years ago when he was a baby. He still eats everything. I've given up. Occasionally he throws something up, but he's strong and healthy and it doesn't really appear to be affecting him in the long run.
I did recently purchase some cat grass for him that hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping that he'll enjoy chewing on and eating the grass and will lay off the random stuff for a while...
