How do I know how much I should water my small flower in a mug?

The mug is pretty big for a mug. It's like the size of a toilet paper roll. How do I know how much water to put in it since it doesn't have drainage?

You don't want to over water it since it doesn't have a drainage hole. The rule is to water when the surface of the soil gets dry. With your finger tip, touch the soil and if you can feel the moisture in them, you should wait.
Reply:very little. over wattering kills more potted plants than anything else. a good idea is to watter once a month
Reply:i dunno. just drown it to be safe!
Reply:Just an inch or two..and replace it daily until the flower wilts.
Reply:Is it potted or cut? If it a potted plant find out what kind and look it up on the net. rule of thumb keep soil damp to were small grains stick to your finger when but not mud.
