Is it possible to lamanate...?

I just got a laminator. It looks like a long skinny printer and comes with different size pouches that you slip the documents into.

My question is: Is is possible to slip neraly-flat items into the pouches to be laminated. Like, for example, a flower? How hot does the paper inside the laminator actually get?

Thanks! :)

Is it possible to lamanate...?
yeah you can. It gets about as hot as a clothes iron.

Drawing websites?

I remember that there was a website where you could draw and paint on a blank paper thing and you could send it to your friends through e-mail and they could watch what was drawed like if you drew a flower they would see the paper being drawn on and stuff like that

Sorry if I wasn't too specific but I need to use that website

How do you make pretty flowers out of tissue? I need patterns, we did this as children & I have forgotten how?

I remember making pretty flowers from tissue and tissue paper as a child in school and Bible school. I would love to be able to do this again for old times sake even though I am 41. I would enjoy a little blast from the past I suppose. Thanks!

Barnes%26amp;nobles crafts section, try the various arts%26amp; crafts books there, they have some wide range of selections you can choose from! ^-^
Reply:This site will show you how to make a huge one. Once you see the directions, you'll be able to adjust it to make smaller ones. If you want to see some beautiful flowers, look for the coffee filter flowers on the Martha Stewart site. She has a video to show you how to make them.

Here are some sites. Have fun.
Reply:I vaguely remember doing this myself once upon a time... and I'm 43. Seems like you took the tissue or Kleenex and folded a thin strip on one edge - turned the tissue over and folded it back the other way - flipped it over and made another fold and just back and forth like that until you have one long thin strip tissue.. I remember putting a bobby-pin across the middle of it (that became the stem) folding it in half, and then either trimming part of both ends off - and then fanning out all the folds or just fanning it without trimming?! I hope that at least partly made sense :) Good luck and have fun!
Reply:They really are very pretty. You can try this site:

http://www.kidsdomain.com/craft/flower2....

You will find complete instructions there.
Reply:Vague memories of buying a box of coloured tissues, fuse wire and green electricians tape. Fold the tissue in half, then fold into a concertina, hold the middle part and wrap a length of wire around to secure, leaving a long piece of wire trailing for the stem. wrap the tape around this. Fan the tissue out to make your flower. Good luck

Need help on a maths question about triangles. (Question is in the Details)?

"In the corner of the garden is a triangular flower bed. It is an isosceles triangle and contains a right angle, The area of the flower bed is 40.5 meteres squared. Cut the flower bed out out of paper and stick it in place"

I just can't seem to figure out this question so all your help would be greatly appreciated :)

Need help on a maths question about triangles. (Question is in the Details)?
Since it's isosceles AND a right triangle, that means it's a 45-45-90 triangle.

In a right triangle, the area = (1/2)(leg 1)(leg 2)

Since it's a 45-45-90 triangle, the two legs are equal.

So...

40.5 = (1/2)(x)(x)

40.5 = (1/2)(x^2)

81 = x^2

9 = x

So, each leg is 9 meters long.

Selling flowers in new covent gardens market.?

Depends on the competition, what prices they buy at.

You have your sources, they have theirs. Don't forget to factor in the rental of your stall.

I'm getting married and need some ideas. Can someone help?

I'm getting married in December of 2008, 6 months earlier (one of my bride's maids has been diagnosed with cancer and she will be having light treatments until the beginning of 2009, if the cancer has not gone into remission her treatments will be more extreme).

We are both still in high school, and I am not able to work until February since I cannot drive. My husband-to-be has a job, but we are now both battling with helping my friend with cancer and saving up for our wedding. Our wedding is very small (56 guests total) and we are looking for a little help. I am hopefully getting a wedding dress from freeycle, someone has one a size too small, and I will hopefully be able to alter it. Also, I am using colored tissue paper to make my flowers, it may sound cheap, but I think it's a neat idea. I just need some ideas on bride's dresses, food, and other random things. Please, does anyone have any ideas?

I'm getting married and need some ideas. Can someone help?
That's very nice of you to help your friend out. Beware, you will more than likely get a lot of comments about how you are too young.

I like the colored tissue paper flower idea, I used to do that when I was a kid. I think that's cute and different.

I know I'll get a thumbs down for this but at thrift stores (goodwill, salvation army etc) you can usually find wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. And not like dated 80's dresses either, I've been in there and have seen pretty current dresses, good as new for less then $10. I'm not sure if they'd have sizes you need, but it would be worth the look. You may get lucky and find some in the sizes and colors you want. My friend got married and she wanted her maids to wear blue, we went to goodwill actually looking for stuff to use for Halloween and we wound up finding 5 baby blue bridesmaid dresses (probably from the same wedding) Some of them fit her maids. They looked nice, noone could tell they were thrift store clothes.

As for food, my family weddings are usually kind of potluck like, where everyone in the family brings in a dish. You could do that. Or you could have some ham, a few fruit and veggi platters, meatballs, cheeseballs, crackers, mashed potatoes. Use those heavy duty plastic plates instead of china. It's easy for cleanup and cheap...don't get paper as that would be too cheap ;P
Reply:Are you really getting married for you or for those around you? Given that you are so young (I've seen nearly all marriages fail from those that married early) I'd really think on my question. If you're doing it for the former, fine (but I don't condone it). If you're doing it for the latter, you're definitely on the course for failure.
Reply:If you wanted formal bridesmaid's dresses, wait until after the prom season is over and hit those sales. Maybe if your some of your bridesmaids are still in HS, offer to help them out with their prom dress so they can where it to both. To really save on dresses, time the wedding in the afternnoon so it can be less formal and that way a nice "church" dress will do. I think this may also save on food.

An afternoon wedding reception would also not require a full meal. Mine was at 2:00pm and we had fruit/veggie/cold cut platters with dips and the cake. Your guests would have just come from lunch and would be going home to dinner.

With such a small wedding, you may be able to get away with having the ceromony/reception in a home. Do you know anyone with a nice large home? If you have a nice enough venue, don't even worry about decorating. Guests are supposed to be looking at you and the ceromony anyway.

For flowers, try not doing bouquets, just a single flower. Hobby Lobby is forever having 50% sales on their floral. Even if you just pick up one a month, that will save you a big hit in the end. Or you can take my idea(for my second wedding) and find each a really nice Christmas ornament, put it on a fancy ribbon and have them carry that down the aisle.

Try to just save a little at a time--get out the old piggy bank and drop in all your change, order the Happy Meal at McDonalds, instead of the big combo.

Things will come together. I hope your friend get better soon.
Reply:Have a pot luck reception my family does it all the time and its real cool. Sense you are family you already now what people like.

As for dress; for your girls look right after prom at like Debs and things. Great dress; but cheaper

Hand write or type out your invites

If you want other flowers ( not saying yours are wrong ) make them yourself like wildflower bouquets

Do it in someones home that is what they did in the old days and you can get someone themonastery.org. No I do not know how much it cost sorry

good luck and hope EVERYthing works out
Reply:Try Ebay for dresses. I got my Flower girl and Candle lighters dresses for under 30 bucks each. If you aren't picky about bridesmaids dresses they have a lot of pretty nice ones for affordable prices, just takes a little looking. Also for flowers and decorations try Costco or Walmart or any store that sales flowers in bulk. Arrange them yourself or ask a friend or family member to help you. I just did my sister in laws flowers and it was really easy. Good luck and I wish you a long and happy marriage.
Reply:Have just a cake and punch reception. That will keep costs down and can still be beautiful and elegant.
Reply:Just curious why you're planning on getting married if you're both still in high school?
Reply:Go to Ross for the dresses, I always find cute dresses there that are cheap. If you cant find a dress try ebay, I almost won mine there. As for food cant you ask everyone to bring a dish of the same kind of food. Or just call around to different places just dont tell anyone its for a wedding because there prices seem to be more expensive when they find out your planning a wedding.
Reply:First off, I am very sorry to hear about your friend...And with you all still in high school, I can understand that money is probably tight...Try looking for your bridesmaids' dresses at a department store instead of a bridal boutique...Maybe look sometime in June/July after they go on sale after all the formal proms/dances...As far as food, it all depends on how formal your wedding is really...Since you are having a small number of guests, how about a buffet style with finger foods. Some ideas are: cheese ball and crackers, veggie tray, fruit tray, meatballs, cocktail wienies, cheese cubes with pepperoni, chip and dip, small sandwiches with different salads (ham, egg, etc.), other salads (pasta, macaroni, potato, etc.)...You could probably do all these yourself with a little help from family for $100 or so, vs. $10 a plate or more if you go with catering...Also, have some punch and a nice small wedding cake, and your good to go! As far as everything else goes, candles and rose petals always make beautiful decorations (one idea is the small goblets/glasses at a craft store; fill them with colored craft marbles, and top with a tea candle or votive)..I made my bridesmaids' bouquets, and that saved us some money...Also, look into the printable invitations to save some cash...maybe borrow some jewelery for yourself from a friend or family member, and that can be your "something borrowed"...If your doing favors, one suggestion is to get a bag of candy and some round tulle circles...Tie them with ribbon and sit about 4-5 on each table (not everyone will take favors)...Also a cute idea I saw that would be inexpensive is to buy some plain white disposable spoons, and put two candy kisses in each spoon....wrap with tulle and put a note on the outside saying "A spoonful of kisses from the Mr. and Mrs." or something similar...I thought that was too cute! There's always ways to have an inexpensive wedding...You just have to look for the sales, and put plenty of thought and time into it...Best of luck with everything, and Congrats!

Any alternatives to hanging decorations from the ceiling at my reception?

I had big plans to drape fabric and lights across the ceiling in our reception hall. I also wanted to hang clusters of paper lanterns and strung flowers from the ceiling. Today I got the contract in the mail and it says "NO hanging anything from the ceiling or walls". I need good ideas for alternatives to make the room look polished, lush, and fully decorated. My other concern is that I want to keep peoples' eyes looking up because the carpet is hideous pink. Help!!

Any alternatives to hanging decorations from the ceiling at my reception?
You can use plaster of paris, gallon cans, and pvc pipe to make lovely decorations. You will be able to find the cans at any catering company or restaurant, just ask them to save their cans for you. Clean them out good, spray paint white. When dry, mix plaster of paris by directions, set in pvc pipe. Allow to set several days. Then you can take tulle or gossemer material and drape it any way you prefer. Across the ceiling or even just along the walls from pole to pole. You can also string your lights with the material. Be sure to let enough fabric drape to the floor to cover each bucket. At the top of each pole you can either put flowers inside the poles or you can just bunch up the material to make it look like a flower. Tulle is a very inexpensive material that make an elegant wedding. You can never have to much tulle. You never said what colors you will be using. Although the carpet is pink, there are some colors that will tone down the carpet or even compliment the carpet where it doesn't appear pink. Wish you would have listed more information so I could help you better. Good luck.
Reply:Go somewhere else! Pink carpet? OMG! If it's too late to change the place, your best bet might be something really eye-catching on the tables.
Reply:Floor standing bamboo scaffolding with all your drapes and lanterns and things hanging from it.
Reply:if possible try to tie up KALIRAS with a thread, what indian girls used to wear on their wedding day with bangles it looks great as i have seen in a marriage
Reply:You could do balloon arches and sprays.

Also, tall centerpiece decorations
Reply:use table decorations and plants

I need help picking out a paint color for my living room that would go with hunter green carpet?

The people that lived there before had the walls done with wall paper that has a green flower pattern on it and I do not like it. I would like to keep the carpet though because it is still in good shape but I do not have any clue what color would go with hunter green. I do not want the room to be to dark because it is the first thing that people see when they come into my house.

I need help picking out a paint color for my living room that would go with hunter green carpet?
Hunter green is a strong color, so you certainly want to stay away from any thing bold or dark, unless you want a library effect, which can be very attractive, but that doesn't sound like the look you want. You didn't say what color your existing furniture is, or what woodtones...dark, light, natural?

My guess is that you want a traditional look, and a good choice would be in beiges that have gold and yellow undertones. If you look at paint chips at the store, you will notice the variation of white/beige,yellow tints. To make it easier, bring a swatch of fabric, or a pillow from your sofa and chairs. Try to find the lightest tone in the fabric, if it's a print. If solid, ask the clerk if he can tell you what undertones are in the swatch. Try to choose a color that doesn't clash, but blends harmoniously with the light shade. Another way to tone down the green, place a large area rug to ground the conversation area, i.e. sofa, loveseat, chairs, coffee table. Pull the furniture away from the walls far enough that you can stand behind each piece. Place the furniture in a pleasing arrangement, so that the front legs of all the pieces set on the rug.

Think, conversation...people should be able to talk to the person across from them. Place the coffee table 18 inches from the front of the sofa. The rug can be any color pulled from your upholstered furniture, or a modern pattern, if your furniture is a solid color or a tiny pattern.

Hope that helps.
Reply:light blue
Reply:I would have to 100% agree with gr82cu. I think those colors would be the best with green carpet. Green is a very powerful color and hard to find cordinating wall colors. The tan colors are definatly the dirction you need to go.
Reply:you should defentetly chose a mixture of dark and light brown!

my friend has dark green carpet with a luxury brownish looking color and it is so preaty. i like to go cause it looks like imm at a forest or something. its relaxing. hope this helped

good luck
Reply:Beige, tans, or cream colors. Dark colored carpet makes rooms look instantly smaller, so you will want to brighten the room up with the lighter side of any of these colors to make the room look bigger and more inviting.
Reply:Green is an earthtone--think of other earthtones, colors you see when walking outside or through a forest--everything in a forest "matches". Different shades of browns, oranges (in the fall), yellows, creams, etc.
Reply:Try a very light pink. Break up the pink with a lot of art. Or you could try some type of paint technique over the pink. But pink... pink and green are best.
Reply:A light yellow should do nice.
Reply:Choose a lighter green, perhaps a 'sea green' that has lots of 'white' in it ... or choose a pale yellow color. I like the hunter green carpet and the 'sea green' walls, though ... but if you do use the 'same' color, just lighter, then you'll need to choose a good 'contrasting' color to 'brighten up' the whole room ... a nice 'medium red' would work, or a 'pattern' with pink and burgundy would also be good.
Reply:Green...hmmmm...to be honest...all neutral colors like tan...coffee bean....all of those light browns are really nice and its a very comfortable home feeling.

Centerpieces out of Recycled Items?

I need to make some centerpieces out of recycled items for a conference I am attending. It is focused on children but the centerpieces can be anything. Does anyone have any ideas....Here are some things that my other coworkers have done:

chinese paper lantern

rainsticks

tissue flowers

lamp made out of paper plate

PS... we can't make anything out of toilet paper roll.

Centerpieces out of Recycled Items?
dryer sheets stained with food coloring.

Dryer sheets

Food coloring or another form of colorant.

water

spray bottle

mix colorant and water until desired color.

spray dryer sheets let dry,if you wish you can spray a second layer to deepen the color. You can even drip color creating a unique pattern.

Decopodge or Elmer's glue to Cd's for coasters

decopodge to cereal box card board or other card board to make a mouse pad, you can add seeds or tassels..

Apply the dryer sheet to both sides of craft, add simple whip stitch to decorate edges...

For a center piece style use a tree branch to hang items.Or

You can Use a tin can to prop the recycled item in 3's or 4's

around can..

Other idea links below.
Reply:+Soda cans make great lanterns (must be careful of sharp edges, though B Crafty had a special on this and it looked cool). You slice down the can vertically (using a Dremel or rotary tool) , push it so it bulges, insert a tea-candle. The can's tab can be used to hang it from a string

+CapriSun and other juice pouches can be washed and reused to make wallets and purses

+Magazine and printed paper can be folded into origami, +Magazines/newsprint can be rolled into tight strips, wound in a spiral, glued, then pushed down to make a bowl or left flat to make a platter

+Using the above technique you can make little "yo-yos" and link them together

+there's always paper mache

Good luck!
Reply:You can poke holes in coffee cans and other tin cans and then paint the outside of the can, put a candle inside and make paper flowers to put around it.

Or you could cover a shoebox with leftover wrapping paper and then use the shoebox as a container for a bouquet of paper flowers.

Reply:i'm sure if you go to hgtv or diy network .com you might find something and then you can make it you own by adding personal touches

What is the Best Origami Book to Buy?

What is the best book for origami? I went to amazon.com to find some and found 2 books that interested me. Origami Zoo: An Amazing Collection of Folded Paper Animals and Origami Flowers: Popular Blossoms and Creative Bouquets. They both looked like a decent book, but is there an origami book for folding animals and flowers? Just animals and flowers?

When you answer, tell me the title of the book, the author, the price, where to buy, how many pages, and the description of the book and your opinion of it.

Eco friendly wedding tips?

Hey all

I am planning a super eco friendly wedding, and am fast running out of ideas. here is what I am doing so far- please give me your input and more ideas!!

-local dj to cut down on gas used for his travel (same with the caterer and photograper)

-locally sourced food (from the caterer) and organic and free range when at all possible

-outdoor ceremony with acoustic music (no electricity needed)

-recyclable platesl, napkins, cutlery made from bamboo

-my gown is organic cotton

-the confetti being thrown is eco friendly and totally biodegradeable when it gets wet

-the confetti is being given out in seeded paper cones that grow flowers when you plant them

-no favors, a donation is being made to a local sick kids hospital instead (guests will be made aware of this by cards placed at their tables)

-invites are printed on "tree free" paper cards, postage being used is bought and a donation made to the world wildlife fund...

-flowers used are local and in season...

Eco friendly wedding tips?
This a growing trend and personally, I love it!

1) Maybe for wedding gifts you could ask for people to buy 'Carbon Offset Points' so that your wedding can be a carbon neutral event.

2)You could use Soy or Beeswax candles for lighting, they have been shown to be less carbon producing that the standard petroleum candles.

3) If you wanted an alternative favor you could give a small seedling or seed packets as gifts.

4) Donate any left over food to a homeless shelter

5) Use local beer and wine producers for beverages, cutting down on transport costs and carbon emmissions.

Just a few suggestions.

Good luck with your earth friendly wedding!
Reply:What a great start! Some other ideas you may or may not already be doing -

Make sure all goods are fair trade (coffee, tea, chocolate, too), and that clothing used and things such as linens, etc. are sweatshop-free. Arrange to donate the dresses to a worthy charity in your area.

Use beeswax and/or soybean candles.

Make sure your and your attendants' hair and makeup are only done with organic products - whether you get them professionally done or DIY.

Use biodiesel vehicles for transport of the wedding party; buses for guests.

Have available a listing of charities for guests to donate to, in lieu of gifts.

Arrange to donate leftover food to a local shelter or food program.

Above all, buy your carbon credits!

https://www.econeutral.com/buycredits.ht...

Happy wedding! It sounds great.
Reply:It sounds like you have things basically taken care of.

You can also purchase vegan shoes (Natalie Portman just started a line)

I guess if you wanted to get a little crazy, you could have a bus take your guests from the church to the reception in order to car pool and save on gas from all of their cars...but I think that might be pushing it!
Reply:I think you have it pretty much covered. Maybe another idea would be to not have RSVP cards and to have people call or email with their RSVP. That way you'll save paper and fuel (from mailing them).
Reply:I really have no other suggestions, but your wedding sounds awesome and inspiring! Goodluck with everything!
Reply:Using regular dishes (rented or from caterer) could be considered even better, since they are being reused rather than buying and recycling (the energy used to recycle is often more than the energy used to wash).

You can also purchase invitations made from recycled paper (see link below).

You don't need to place cards at the tables for the donations, just make an announcement.

Don't throw confetti at all....it makes a mess and its a waste of money

Give each guest an energy efficient light bulb, if they replace one light bulb in their home, this will counteract any travelling they do by car or plane to your wedding.

Donate leftover food to a shelter

Purchase used pre-crafted bouquets and flowers

Reusing is as important as recycling in GREEN. Renting tuxedos is reusing, renting or purchasing a dress is reusing and you can donate it when your done.
Reply:I think you have it prettymuch covered.

The only thing i can think of is to have it on a nice day so you aren't tempted to use fans and whatnot

Please critique my latest poem --is it any good or not?

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,

On a white heal-all, holding up a moth

Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth--

Assorted characters of death and blight

Mixed ready to begin the morning right,

Like the ingredients of a witches' broth--

A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,

And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

What had that flower to do with being white,

The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?

What brought the kindred spider to that height,

Then steered the white moth thither in the night?

What but design of darkness to appall?--

If design govern in a thing so small.

Green and white baby shower...?

I am pregnant with my first and my mom is so excited she wants to start planning the baby shower already. She wants me to pick a theme I like so we can start buying stuff (we have a tight budget it would be better to start early so everything will can be perfect when the time comes). I am having my baby shower April 26th (I'm due May 25).. I want my theme to be simple green and white.. so i was thinking of different shades and green and white decorations? Like paper laterns and white flowers and things like that. Also the toilet paper game because toilet paper is white or using green string.. is this tacky? Do you have any more ideas..It will be spring and i live in ohio. Im 19 (will be 20 at the time of shower) and i dont really want anything to old fashioned. I dont like anything with ducks..lol.. would white flowers be better than white teddy bears with green bows? What are some cute favors I could hand out? Thanks for anything you can come up with!

Green and white baby shower...?
Green and white sounds nice.. You can give white chocolate teddy bears lollipops ( you can make them) with a green ribbon on the bag with your shower info on them. You can make flower lollipops as well.

What will make the green and white flow even nicer is if you don’t find out what you are having.. If you know it is a boy or a girl, you will be so tempted to lean towards gender specific items which will come in either pink or blue.

If your guests don’t know what you are having, they will bring you mint, white and yellow layette and it will keep the whole flow of the theme.

Off topic.. But keep in mind...Babies do not sleep in their own rooms right away.. They stay in yours in a bassinet or cradle for a couple of months and you do not have to know what you are having to register or set up a room. When you have too much done too soon, it makes your pregnancy feel so slow because you pretty much have everything prepared and nothing to do but wait.

I’m at 31 weeks and have no clue what I am having and this is so much fun and its going by so quick... when my sister in laws had their babies and knew what they were having it was so odd.. We knew the sex, the name...and when she went into labor they called and said.." I'm going to have Peter now.. I'll call you with the weight" When my friends did not know it was so exciting waiting to hear it’s a boy or it’s a girl.. You can’t change the sex and you are going to accept and love the baby no matter what so why bother knowing.

Enjoy planning your shower and I think the green and white will be nice..

Congrats!
Reply:I think white flowers with maybe green ribbons tied through them sounds really cute and great. Plus if you're on a tight budget teddy bears might over do it, especially if you have to get cheap ones cause they don't look right most of the time. I like the flower idea, I think it's classy.

Good luck!

What is so wrong with this method of education? And I'm not talking about art class, but learning altogether.

Once a little boy went to school.

The teacher said,"Today we are going to make a picture."

"Good!" thought the little boy. He liked to make pictures. He could make all kinds. Lions and tigers, chickens and cows, trains and boats. And he took out his box of crayons and began to draw.

But the teacher said, "Wait until I tell you to begin."

"Now," said the teacher,"We are going to make flowers."

"Good!" thought the little boy. He liked to make flowers. And he began to make beautiful ones with his pink and orange and blue crayons.

But the teacher said, "Wait! I will show you."

Teacher drew a flower that was red with a green stem. "There," said the teacher,"Now you may begin."

The little boy looked at the teacher's flower. Then he looked at his own flower. He liked his flower better than the teacher's but he did not say this. He just turned his paper over and made a flower like the teacher's. It was red with a green stem.

What is so wrong with this method of education? And I'm not talking about art class, but learning altogether.
I've read that story before, and I get sad every time I do, because it is so true. Kids are not allowed to have an imagination anymore. Nor are they allowed to be kids. They are made to mini-adults from the time they come out of the womb, to the time they really are adults.

I say, let the kids draw what they want, make out of clay what they want, and let them play what they want. They, and you, will be so much happier!!
Reply:Nice story.....nice ending......true picture of REAL homeschooling!

Thank you for sharing this
Reply:The little boy's flower would've come out nice and pretty if it hadn't been for the teacher drawing one for him since he imagined those pretty flowers himself. That's so sad because his flower was better than hers. I wish if there was something someone could do even though I didn't skim through it and read the full story because I don't like reading that much when it's too long.
Reply:This makes me sad every time I read it. Urgh. There's a time when things have to be right, because there is right and wrong. There are times when right and wrong don't exist. How can there be a right and wrong way to draw a flower when you are five? Besides, everything takes so much longer when everyone needs to use the red and green. I never saw a classroom with enough pencils.
Reply:This is a very telling story, and as a classroom teacher, I do have to defend us just for a second - state standards, testing, policies, budget cuts, and benchmarks have all but stripped away the creativity from our classrooms. Many teachers feel the same way the small boy did - I want my students to draw their own flowers, but often, the standards mandate what kind of flower the child should draw. (Not literally, obviously.) It is stifling and frustrating to teach in these times, and unless the teacher is naturally very creative, it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of teaching. In California, elementary teachers have to grade students on more than 70 standards! The time for report cards takes away the time for field trips, fun activities, and art. So although many of us try very hard and have very good intentions, and make our assignments as creative as possible, it isn't always a possibility.

Reply:Michelle Wright - Your Love

It's not the flowers

Wrapped in fancy paper

It's not the ring

I wear around my finger

There's nothing in all the world I need

When I have you here beside me

Here beside me

Chorus:

So you could give me wings to fly

And catch me if I fall

Or pull the stars down from the sky

So I could wish on them all

But I couldn't ask for more

'Cause your love is the greatest gift of all

In your arms

I found a strength inside of me

And in your eyes

There's a light to guide me

I would be lost without you

And all that my heart could ever want

Has come true

(chorus)

Bridge:

You could offer me the sun, the moon

And I would still believe

You gave me everything

When you gave your heart to me

(piano solo)

I couldn't ask for more

'Cause your love is the greatest gift of all

(chorus)

Yeah, yeah and yeah thrice nightly yeah verily etc.

What we have here is a bunch of freedom haters.

If someone wants to wear strange looking clothes, a turban, a tight little mini-skirt, a cross, a prayer written in funny writing, so what?

I just don't give a damn.

I'm a London and we have a multi-cultural society here. We do not all love each other madly to bits, but we are trying our best not to hate each other. Slowly things just get better.

We don't want Sharia Law....blah, etc.

Reply:Of course it will, that is the lefties "raison detre" why are you apologising to the Islamic faith? Is it not a (Saudi) state that follows Islam to the letter that is doing this? Ergo what is your Q? BTW, "nanny" flipped and was sectioned a long time ago, why are you still allowing her to rule your life? Be up front man/woman, stand up for your British culture and heritage, denounce those who seek to Islamitise you or shut your mouth. Be honest, be offensive, you only just have the right to free speech. Your a**e must be sore straddling the fence! I hold you in contempt, not for your views or beliefs but for your waffling, stand up and be counted or found wanting. Your inane ramblings are designed to cause controversy, not to aid a civilised debate.

A rose is not a symbol of religious faith/debate, it is a flower, the pathetic emblem of the Labour party, any religion/debate that focusses upon this has lost all credibility in my view. I have bigger flowers to cultivate than roses. " A rose by any other name"..... cultivate your interest in politics by all means means, but flowers it is not....Sorry but your Q is designed to stir up controversy rather than debate.
Reply:I think the way this country is heading we will soon find it illegal to breathe in case our exhaled breath pollutes other people
Reply:I have no clue who "Nanny PC" is, though it is delightful how the ignorant employ personification.

Seems that you confuse the desire of retailers and goernments to avoid offending with the desire of others to prevent religious persecution.

Some governments -- such as France and Turkey -- prohibit wearing "provocative" religious symbols as a move to force assimilation or prevent extremism and oppression.

While this is annoying, it is not PC. Examples of PC would include: retailers saying "Happy Holidays" to avoid alienating their non-christian clientelle or Aussie Santa's saying Ha Ha isntead of Ho Ho so as to avoid offending any passing whores.

Both may dismay you, but they are not the same practice. For simplicity's sake, you can just call everything you dislike PC. Just like some morons call all people they dislike "fascists," though the label is usually inept.

I bet you could generate some interesting Venn diagrams based on these populations.

I dare you to lose yourself in me,

see behind the glass and touch the dark.

Love all, trust none

love me, I'll betray you,

I've forgotten how to try.

Misery loves company

so why am I alone,

singing to the edges of the wind?

So I'll lay my head down

and forget about time.

This life is my nightmare,

this life is my lie.

So I'll lay my head down

and sleep.

Desolation sings a dirge

of withered flowers and

cracked paper hearts.

Flame licks at the memory

Grass will grow over me

never knowing that the rain is my tears.

For I laid my head down

and forgot about time.

Sick of my nighmare,

sick of my lie.

I laid my head down

Looking for honest critique. Please help?
A very melancholy but powerful poem about a disconsolate soul; In the second line, I think "mask" works well instead of "glass", unless you are using a mirror as the image and the "you" are speaking to yourself. On either level, it is great imagery. You have created an outstanding poem. Thank you.
Reply:Good use of imagery!!

I would make more use of present tense

and say

SO I LAY MY Head down..

and forget about time...

I lay my had down

and sleep...etc

otherwise...pretty darn good!!

Reply:This poem is beautiful, but as confusing as life. Why love if you cant trust is what I would like to know. Is your poem meant to rhyme? This is a very sad story, the girl was in love, then she died? is that what it was?
Reply:That has soo many levels to it, Awesome don't change a thing.
Reply:The first stanza (or whatever that thing is called) doesn't really fit with the rest of the poem..I know it does in a way..tone wise the narrator interacting with another person telling them there is no hope wtfe..but then you never come back to that other person the rest of the poem other than that I like it
Reply:I love the honesty but it sounds like a sad poet or someone wrote about depression and loneliness, I had depression I relate to the lyrics.
Reply:Wow, I really like it. You have some great metaphors in there. I can't remember what the literary term is, but I really liked the phrases "edges of the wind," and "the memory of ink on a page." My favorite stanza is "Grass will grow over me/and youth will dance,/never knowing that the rain is my tears." So beautiful!
Reply:Oh my, that is really great. = )

Good job. I loved it.
Reply:Nice poem.

Fun!: http://www.goblinz.net/r/5354
Reply:Wow. Thats REALLY good.
Reply:Exelent, I can feel you in it.
Reply:I think I like the first 3 paragraphs but then it's like you changed somehow. It no longer was about betrayal and loneliness but moe about memories and pain.

I do like the phrase though... "For I laid my head down and forgot about time..."

Though I would have written on something like sick of my nightmare sick of my life so I laid my head down and slept the sleep of eternal rest.

Just some thoughts of mine.

It is a good poem though. Lots we could talk about.

What jobs can 14 y/o's get in TN?

What JOBs are availible to 14 y/os in TN? I mean "jobs" not mowing lawns, picking flowers or throwing paper at people. I've heard that quite a few fast food places will let 14 year olds work.. and restaurants, bussing. But names of places in particular that definitely let 14 year olds work? Also, are there any jobs availible in retail for 14y/os? Any help that anyone could give me would be great. Thank you so much!!

What jobs can 14 y/o's get in TN?
You can do surveys for all places listed on my profile!!

Reply:Many businesses hesitate to employ minors because of the legal restrictions on working hours and documentation required. A better option is to work from home on your computer-write articles, sell on eBay,make a website, take surveys. In some cases, you may have to set up an account in your parents or guardians name, and ask them to pay you, after they get the money for your work. More details are available at http://www.pcworkathome.net/jobsforminor...
Reply:probably a local coffee shop, or somewhere that's not attached to a large entrepreneur, like a McDonald's or burger king. they won't let you work there.
Reply:You'll have to check with your state's child labor laws. Many states prohibit child labor in a regular job under the age of 16.

Good luck and congratulations for WANTING to work. You are a rare individual in that you do not expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter.

It does border upon the unfair and unjust. Some schools view the wearing of any jewellery as frivolous and a slight danger, ie bracelets and neck chains getting caught on chair and causing injury incurring law suit actions costing said school millions in payout.

The indulgence of cultural idiosyncrasies, is born more of the great gains and profiting said government of cuntry in question than an indulgent or pandering attitude per se.

I do not watch comedy. If I am needful of a good sound laugh, I read current affairs and politics. I laugh so much ... .. .

Reply:The purity ring is not the same as the sikh bracelet. The sikh bracelet has been part of the culture and religion for much longer. The purity ring was invented by a certain group of American Christians and is not an essential relgious or cultural symbol. It was probably invented to make money and became popular after Britney Spears made it fashionable. See the difference?

My cat keeps getting sick because he eats everything?

My cat is only about 15 weeks old. He eats everything...tassels, fake flowers, human food, paper...etc. Now I dont really care but he keeps throwing up and it is apparent that these things are being eaten. Any suggestions on how to make him stop?

My cat keeps getting sick because he eats everything?
I agree with the first answer to keep these items out of reach, though I know it is hard because kittens jump %26amp; climb on everything %26amp; can get everywhere. If you catch him eating something he shouldn't, spray him with water. That worked with my cats. And since he's a kitten, I think he will eventually grow out of this. Maybe you could keep some catnip around for him to eat, or toys filled with catnip. Maybe that will keep his attention %26amp; he won't eat the other stuff.
Reply:what and how are you feeding the cat??

cats need access to their dry food all the time - there should be a bowl full always...

what kind of food?? is CORN the first ingredient?? cats are true carnivours... what dead animal gives us corn?
Reply:dunno... I got a cat that eats cardboard... if you can keep these things out of his reach, he should stop eating them.

Or, catch him in the act... and hiss at him or spray him with water.
Reply:i have a cat too that is 15 weeks. my cat eats anything. leaves, human food. we have made sure that most of the time those things are out of reach and that we watch she is doing some times when we are sitting at home.
Reply:I have a cat who has been that way ever since I got him and I got him two years ago when he was a baby. He still eats everything. I've given up. Occasionally he throws something up, but he's strong and healthy and it doesn't really appear to be affecting him in the long run.

I did recently purchase some cat grass for him that hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping that he'll enjoy chewing on and eating the grass and will lay off the random stuff for a while...

What is the theme of "The Little Boy"?

The Little Boy

Once a little boy went to school.

He was quite a little boy.

And it was quite a big school.

But when the little boy

Found that he could go to his room

By walking right in from the door outside,

He was happy.

And the school did not seem

Quite so big any more.

One morning,

When the little boy had been in school a while,

The teacher said:

Today we are going to make a picture.”

“Good” thought the little boy.

He liked to make pictures.

He could make all kinds:

Lions and tigers,

Chickens and cows,

Trains and boats—

And he took out his box of crayons

And began to draw.

But the teacher said:

“Wait!” It is not time to begin!”

And she waited until everyone looked ready.

“Now,” said the teacher.

“We are going to make flowers.”

“Good!” thought the little boy.

He liked to make flowers

And he began to make beautiful ones

With his pink and orange and blue crayons.

But the teacher said

“Wait! And I will show you how.”

And she drew a flower on the blackboard

It was red, with a green stem.

“There,” said the teacher

“Now you may begin.”

The little boy looked at the teacher’s flower.

Then he looked at his own flower.

He liked his flower better than the teacher’s.

But he did not say this,

He just turned his paper over

And made a flower like the teacher’s.

It was red, with a green stem.

On another day,

When the little boy had opened the door from the outside all by himself,

The teacher said,

“Today we are going to make something with clay.”

“Good!” thought the little boy.

He liked clay.

He could make all kinds of things with clay:

Snakes and snowmen,

Elephants and mice,

Cars and trucks—

And he began to pull and pinch

His ball of clay.

But the teacher said,

“Wait! It is not time to begin!”

and she waited until everyone looked ready.

“Now,” said the teacher,

“We are going to make a dish.”

“Good!” thought the little boy,

He liked to make dishes,

And be began to make some

That were all shapes and sizes.

But the teacher said,

“Wait! And I will show you how.”

And she showed everyone how to make one deep dish.

“There,” said the teacher,

“Now you may begin.”

The little boy looked at the teacher’s dish

Then he looked at is own.

He liked his dishes better than the teacher’s

But he did not say this,

He just rolled his clay into a big ball again,

And made a dish like the teacher’s.

It was a deep dish.

And pretty soon

The little boy learned to wait

And to watch,

And to make things just like the teacher

And pretty soon

He didn’t make things of his own anymore.

Then it happened

That the little boy and his family

Moved to another house,

In another city,

And the little boy

Had to go to another school.

This school was even bigger

Than his other one

And there was no door from the outside

Into his room.

He had to go up some big steps,

And walk down a long hall

To get to his room.

And the very first day

He was there, the teacher said,

“Today we are going to make a picture.”

“Good!” thought the little boy.

And he waited for the teacher

To tell him what to do

But the teacher didn’t say anything,

She just walked around the room

When she came to the little boy,

She said, “Don’t you want to make a picture?”

“Yes,” said the little boy.

“What are we going to make?”

“I don’t know until you make it,” said the teacher.

“How shall I make it?” said the little boy.

“Why, any way you like” said the teacher.

“And any color?” said the little boy.

Any color,” said the teacher,

“If everyone made the same picture, And used the same colors,

How would I know who made what?

And which was which?”

“I don’t know” said the little boy.

And he began to make pink and orange and blue flowers.

He liked his new school,

Even if it didn’t have a door

Right in from the outside!

1) Always be on time. If you can't be on time, inform the person at least 15 minutes beforehand.

Flowers should Never be given wrapped in paper (I don't care what the American movies show you.)

Never give even numbers of flowers except 3 flowers (i.e. never 4 .. 6... or 8)

Never jump a queue

Introduce yourself with your full name.

2) If someone stands too close for comfort, take a gentle step back

5. B - Immigrant workers and Politics are not topics that should be discussed with new acquaintences. Unless you are in a political arena. Care needs to be taken with work in mixed groups.

Reply:1. In Britain which of the following is considered bad manners?

a) To give someone flowers wrapped in paper

b) To be on time for an appointment

c) To jump a queue

d) To introduce oneself by one’s surname only.

C - everyone must take their turn

2. In Britain if someone stands very close to you when having a conversation, perhaps even touching you on the shoulder or back, would you ...?

a) Move away a little

b) Do the same to them

c) Get embarrassed and freeze

A - I don’t know them, so I want to keep my distance, I may also freeze with embarrassment; it’s a little strange to do that.

3. In a British bar when would you be asked to pay for your drinks?

a) After having been served at the bar

b) On being served at the table

c) After the first round has been consumed

d) Just before you go home.

Unless you have a tab (d), you pay once the drinks are served (a). you’d have a tab if you were at a table; it’s very crude to pay at the table of a bar.

4. Which gift would be suitable if you were invited to a dinner-party at your boss’s house?

Normally unless otherwise stated you’d bring a (wine) bottle.

5. In Britain when chatting with someone you have just met would you talk about ... ?

a) Immigrant workers

b) The weather

c) Your work/studies

d) The politics

We’d discuss the weather (b) as politics are a personal subject and no one else’s business, work or schooling is none of their business though it could come-up if you were introduced to them you may ask them what they are reading (studying). Immigrant workers, is a touchy subject; one may hold a view that is the reverse of the other person which could cause friction.

the first 2 options are silly

queing is a very sensitive subject, as people dont do it in other countries, it is seen as a fair way to make sure everyone has to wait the same ammount of time, as fairness is also very important. but a que also suggests that the place has bad service, i mean a que of 2 or so people is fine, but 7 people, and you would be complaining that it is too long and you shouldnt have to wait that long. so yea jumping a que is a very rude thing to do.

introducing oneself by ones surname, it can be rude, it depends if the person youre introducing yourself to is providing you with a service or something, and then you can say "im miss farqueharson" or whatever your name is.

otherwise its rude.

2. i feel the question should be

"should you" instead of "would you"

most people here are familar with the concept of personal space which many people arnt in other countries. but if someone stands too close you should move away a little if you feel uncomfortable, or if they keep coming closer i might use larger hand gestures to push them away with lolz. it would be rude to confront them.

3. depends if its a pub or a bar, if youre going to eat or not, if the place is busy.

at a pub, you order your drinks at the bar, and usually you pay when ordering it, unless you are a regular/plan on staying a long time and then they set up a tab for you.

in a bar, depending on how busy it is, you find your seats first, decide what youre going to have and then someone will come over and take your order unless its busy and then you go to the bar and order what you want. they will bring you a little saucer with the bill in it, unless you want to pay at the bar if you go up there and then you can. if you get it brought to you, then you put your money in the saucer and they will come and get it, or you take it to the bar. if youre having food you pay for everything at the bar at the end.

4. a bottle of wine, or flowers, or a box of nice chocolates, or something nice for their home, maybe an interesting candle or something like that.

5. the traditional topic of choice is the weather, it fills any dull moment in convosation, everyone has something to say. its general chit chat, no opinions necisary etc

but people do talk about immigrants, particuarly eastern european

the other 2 choices are too personal too soon

What do you think of this V-Day present for my guy?

Well, I had a really hard time deciding what would be a good gift for my bf on Valentine's Day. I always like to go for something handmade, instead of store-bought cuz I just think that shows more. So, I made a flower out of construction paper and wrote "I Love You" on it. Simple, I know, but I've never said those words to him before, so I thought, even though he's a guy and flowers aren't exactly ideal, my gift would make a strong statement on the perfect day. Idk, what do you think?

What do you think of this V-Day present for my guy?
I personally think that your gift is cute but it feels like something else is missing... how about a handmade card to go along with the rose or a hand made frame with a picture of the both of you or you can buy a picture album ( doesnt need to fancy or big) and draw cute love pictures or write cute love notes to him. i would love that. xD

And for the "I love You" part it would scare a guy... but that only depends on the guy and how long you two have been in the relationship ( like a week or two)... cus from my experience my bf said those three words like a week after we started dating and well... it kinda freaked me. So, i hope i had help you. =)
Reply:People have different ways of saying I love you, and the fact that you constructed something for him and pasted on the words "I love you" is something to show. It is simple, and I have to say a bit cliche, but it is cute and romantic. I'm sure if he likes you no matter what, he would appreciate the time you took in making that for him, but the words are more important.
Reply:YOU DID WHAT??? what if he doesnt feel the same way?? or what if he doesnt say anything back? how would that make you feel? i mean the gift is really cute and all but i think you should just wait for him to tell you "i love you" first but hey...lets see what happens..i would really love to know...
Reply:Ehh that sounds kind of cheap. Just being honest.

Has anyone got some origional ideas for presents for elderly people?

I feel sorry for old people because they always get food, sweets, flowers, fancy writing paper, smellies, a nighty or slippers year in %26amp; year out from everyone! They end up sharing the sweets %26amp; food coz they cant eat it all themselves, open their drawer %26amp; you will find endless supply of unopened fancy soap %26amp; smellies, they can no longer write long letters %26amp; need lined paper now, they usually have certain footwear they can/cannot comfortably wear %26amp; stick to favourite nighties. They even get flowers all through the year %26amp; prefer simple personal bunches from the garden.

I know we ALL get a certain amount of repeat prezzies but how boring having to get exited when every one is the same or similar to the last....

Lets hear some simple thoughtful ideas that will make them smile.

Has anyone got some origional ideas for presents for elderly people?
My Father in law was quite active..loved his garden and DIY. I watched him one Christmas opening socks etc..no thought had gone into any of them. From then on I got a sturdy cardboard box into which went packs of screws, seed labels, seeds he wouldn't normally use as a novelty, a couple of new paint brushes, ball of string in fact any item that could be of use...all year we added little useful things perhaps a lighter or garden knife and the look on his face as he waded through this lucky dip was a joy to behold. I suppose something similar could make up a box for an older woman..just lots of little things that make up the final present. A nice comb on its own isn't much...but added to lots of other goodies it is...no big cost..just see something when you are out shopping and think " That would do for Grans/Grandads box.
Reply:Look in any elderly person's linen closet and most likely, you'll find dingy, threadbare towels. A fresh new towel or two would be much appreciated.

The ladies enjoy brooches or necklaces they can slip on over their heads. Many of them no longer wear jewelry because they can't handle the clasps.

A deck of playing cards or a checker board might be appreciated if you stay around and play a game or two.

If they have a VCR or DVD player, pick some appropriate movies or collections of TV shows they might enjoy.

Books on tape are enjoyed by many seniors whose eyesight is failing.
Reply:I adore anything anyone actually makes. An apron sewn by loving hands, a birdhouse, a plate of cookies, a jar of homemade jelly, art projects done in crayon, or a poem. They all warm my heart. However, I also like the things you mentioned, and all the answers above this one had great ideas. Mostly, I am just happy to be remembered on special occasions.
Reply:All occassion cards, with stamped, addressed envelopes. All they have to do is sign them, and they're ready to go. Maybe a stamp of their name and address would be good. Offer to drive them to church or the beauty shop or the doctor. It can be hard to get around.

The best gift is probably visiting them. Old can be very lonely.
Reply:If you cant personally give your time, stamps are helpful plus an assortment of nice cards that they can send to friends throughout the year for birthdays or get well cards. Gift cards for hair cuts, to their grocery, to their pharmacy (like Wallgreens) or for a meal out at a local restaurant.
Reply:Have their Grandchildren or Children read and record some of their favorite reading material. It could be religious or ridiculous!..:) Anything from recipes to poetry. If recorded in the voices of the ones they love. I'm sure it would be a hit! P. S. Be sure and get them a player to listen to the tapes or CD's.
Reply:Pay their heating bill for a year.

Arrange a box of essential foods for a year.

Make sure that they get a visit from their relatives.

The occasional day out.
Reply:If they are family members you could find all those old photographs of them and family members and do a photo album, or try and do a family tree or give them a great party

with all the family.

c
Reply:A magnifying glass specially designed for people with bad eyes, so they can read. Lots of old people who used to love reading can't read anymore because they can't see the word, so this would be quite a good gift.
Reply:I quilted a lap blanket for my FIL. We got it back after he passed on and I use it all the time. They are useful and warm and can be fun to make.
Reply:If they still write to people give them stationery with stamps attached. If they are in a nursing home, pictures for their walls %26amp; pictures of family %26amp; friends. Lettters are always good.
Reply:Invite them to lunch. Supermarket gift cards, they can purchase what they need. Favorite magazine subscription.
Reply:A gift card for foot message and pedicure, manicure. or a back massage also check out reflexology Edit I just read kickers answer he is so correct they also like the new Nintendo wii
Reply:The very best gift you can give is your time. Not necessarily to do anything or go anywhere, but just sit and listen.
Reply:Take them out around the town, shopping and a little to eat.

Or just drive to their delight especially if they are usually shut in
Reply:the nice gift you can give is a company. they need someone to talk to. its nice if you can bring them to the parks
Reply:The things that speak to my heart are not things you can pick up with you hands. I'm guessing its the same for them too.
Reply:look around on the internet see if you can find a newspaper replica from the day they were born or married etc old people love to reminise about the old days
Reply:a night at the theatre?

a day out round the shops so that they can pick whatever they want?
Reply:talking books - buy them on dvd or video

electric plug-in massage chair pad
Reply:Cash is best.
Reply:I would like anything you mentioned. Is something wrong with me?
Reply:Cash is king!
Reply:I'm featuring elderly as somewhat infirm -- those with pain and the loss of stamina -- so I'm answering from that perspective. Thinking of my mother in her nursing home. Her energy is feeble. What I send is six chocolates from Godiva or anybody else. She can keep them in her bedside drawer and have one a day. Lotion. She has the self-preservation approach and can feel better about her aging, drying skin by taking care of it, in a bottle small enough that it doesn't hog the drawer, and doesn't require a lot of effort. Lotion shouldn't be perfumed. That's alcohol which dries the skin further. It should contain botanicals and/or our newest, best lubricants. She is bathed by staff. She finds watering plants too much of a chore, and used to arrange flowers, so flowers depress her. For accidents, great gifts are a constant supply of her favorite kind of underwear [all cotton.]
Reply:This is not a joke, but my girlfriend who is a state registered nurse , works in an elderly care home for residents who have severe mental and emotional problems, and the best present that the care home had was an old playstation 2 and a few rubbishy old games. The residents were up most nights competing against each other in various racing games and they even had teams of players. It was an absolutely brilliant thing to see these oldies , laughing , jeering and having such good fun with each other. It was all ok until a manager came from the regional office and took it away, he was outraged that these poor old dears was having a good time. They was so miserable and gloomy that it spurred me into searching the charity shops for another one. Lo and behold , they remain happy , competitive and having such laughter and fun . I know it its not a present that old people would want , but you should see these old ones having such a ball. Im not telling you to buy this , i thought id just share this with you ...
Reply:Perhaps large print versions of favorite reading material woud be an idea for those whose eye sight is not what it used to be..I know that the bible and other reading materials have been recorded on tapes, cds etc..so that one can listen to them on a personal media player equiped with head phones..(this may be an idea for those whose hearing is not too far gone) or what about makeing a photo book for them with some favorite photos enlarged to make them easier to see, just remember not to make the book too big or heavy because some elderly have hands that are not as strong and flexable as they use to be...I know that my mom alway enjoyed having a container of body or hand lotion near by and tubes of chap stick or lip moisturizer. But you need to be careful about many of the cosemetic things, some elderly cant use them because thier skin can be very sensitive to ingredients in some products.

A holder to keep reading glasses handy that would attach to a wheel chair or clip on to clothing may be another idea..or maybe you could record a family get together on tape or cd and give it to the person if they are unable to attend..the grandkids could all help to be "movie stars' in the video and "show off" any new talents they have learned . Everyone could record a special message for the person.

These are just some ideas , I realize that the elderly have many different limitations and some of these suggestion may work better for some than for others...but I hope they help you..
