What charges or complaints can I file if somebody wrapped my yard, my cars and my boat toilet paper?

I dont know who did this but somebody, in between 10:30 pm and 1am, took time to wrap my whole yard, including the trees, bushes, my mailbox and stuffed toilet paper in it, too. They used the water hose to spray both my cars and my boat so the toilet paper would stick. They wrapped my flower garden and the fountain, too! I cant wait to find out who did this. Any suggestion, what I can do and what charges to file? We called the cops and they said they never saw something like this before, not this bold. It might be kids and some stupid prank but its not funny. Its a super bad joke. The cops just did an incident report since we dont know who did this.

If nothing was damaged, criminal mischief and maybe criminal trespass.
Reply:It would be considered vandalism.
Reply:There is nothing you can do unless you can prove who did it. Ask your neighbors if they saw or heard anything.
Reply:What a waste of police resources to do a report, where no property was damaged, no way of finding the suspect and there was only litter. Clean up and get over it. At the most I would have gave a ticket for littering and no report.
Reply:criminal mischeif is the charge that would be filed. as long as nothing was actually damaged. if there were damages...it would be both that and vandalism....at least here in pa. Tresspassing is also a possibility
Reply:No it isn't funny, but you've done what you can do and since there was no property damage, even if you found out, there isn't anything to be done, you can't force a prosecutor to prosecute!!
Reply:The kids here do it around homecoming time and major games. Its funny to drive down the street and see all the yard art. I could see tresspassing, but vandalism? Its biodgradable. No one has damaged or broken anything. Just take it down and have a good laugh. It could be a lot worse.
Reply:Since the police don't do "investigations" on toilet papering as a general rule, you will probably never find out who did it.

So, if you called the poilce, they would have been the ones to answer your question.

I suggest you get over it. Worse things have happened.
Reply:Your best bet is to do some investigating on your own. Knock on some doors, talk to a lot of neighbors, question scared kids who may give you names of other kids who did it. Chances are somebody saw or heard something. Once you get a description from a witness or witnesses, take that to the police. Be diligent about it because that's your only chance of the scoundrels getting caught.

Good luck, I really hope they find em!
Reply:For one, you do not decide what charges are filed. The police do that. But in order to file charges, they need to locate the suspect(s).

What you did was correct by making a police report (incident report). Honestly though, I do not believe that they will be caught and confess to doing that to your property.
Reply:You could be like my neighbor and file for destruction of property, harassment, trespassing (the jr high girls tp'd his house because his son is the "cutest boy in school".

Of course, it wasn't so funny when his son retaliated, his wife sent letters of apology to every one he cussed out and they eventually moved because we all knew that he was the no-fun neighbor.
Reply:kids messing around I have had this happen I just cleaned it up and it didnt seem to happen again but it would seem they took alot of time to do it. I also told my kids to invite their little friends over for pizza because they were going to clean it up and they did and I helped no confessions though
Reply:as long as no damage done it wouldn't be no more then mischief-misdemeanor
