How can I keep secrets without lying?

I love to leave little notes and small gifts for my friends at school as a suprise, but I don't enjoy it as much if they find out who it was. I don't like getting credit for being nice to them, I just like to see them cheer up. Whenever I leave notes or somethng like paper flowers or something for them, they always ask if it was me, and I can't bring myself to lie to them (I never have been able to), so I always tell them.

How can I do things for them anonymously and not lie about who did it?

How can I keep secrets without lying?
Say nothing at all....Act like those monkeys...See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.....(smile) Silence. (smile)
Reply:Why would you want to lie? Its so cute to be a good friend I'd be happy. I mean even if you learn to lie, they'll probably assume it was from you if you've done those things before. If someone asks just be like, " it was probably someone that really cares about seeing you happy, does it really matter who its from? "
Reply:well, if they're going to ask you, and you don't wanna lie, then obviously it won't work.. haha, just don't be suspicious about it and maybe they wont ask
Reply:dont look away (people belive others more when they recive eye contac) give short detailed answer that dont leave room for follow up questions
Reply:If you are known for the gift-giving, you may get blamed when someone sends them a bomb!

Just say who it's from.

It's safer this day and age.
Reply:You've already got the reputation- they'll know it was you even if you deny it. Face it, the jig is up!
Reply:IF ASKED TALK AROUND THE ANSWER SO AS TO BEAT AROUND THE BUSH
Reply:"It could be me..but then again maybe it's not...!!"

"I would hate to spoil the surprise by telling you"

"It could have been that masked man...you know the one...!!"
Reply:You find ways around the truth. Tell them, "You have no evidence it was me."
Reply:just be very serious one day
Reply:Just give them a look...no words= no lies.
Reply:When they ask, all you have to say is: "I plead the Fifth!"

(Fifth Amendment to the constitution. You can not be forced to answer a question that will incriminate you in the U.S. Not even in a court of law!)

I will be having a party with the theme "Dia De Los Muertos" Or Day of the Dead.?

Any suggestions on decorations? I am already making tissue paper flowers. I need an idea for center pieces.

skulls. sugar skulls are traditional for dia de los muertos. and also those colorful flags with a bunch of designs cut out in the middle.
Reply:Look at voodoo decorations for inspiration.
Reply:Check out www.shindigz.com or www.partycity.com. They are great sites to check out for themes/decorations, etc. Good luck!

For centerpieces I would say a bunch of little candles....or flower petals...

Luau ideas?

I would like some decorating ideas for a luau hawiian birthday party. I am on a budget (arent we all!) so i need HOMEMADE ideas that I can start preparing for the party in June. I have heard of tiki totems from toilet rolls, and leis from paper flowers and straws. any more ideas? Thanks so much!

Luau ideas?
Serve fruit kebobs on bamboo skewers, and stick them into a fresh pineapple, and use that as a centerpiece. ...Buy strands of little silk/artificial orchids and strew them all over the table ...Use big leaves (real or fake) under plates on the buffet, or as placemats ... Go to a $1 store for votive candles .... DO check out Oriental Trading Co's website. They are incredibly cheap and have tons of luau decorations. They have grass skirts to go around the table!
Reply:These aren't things you make per se, but they are inexpensive ways to decorate:

You could ask your local travel agency if they have any old posters that they aren't using anymore, that they could give you. Also they might have some brochures. Go to the Visitors' Bureau website www.gohawaii.com and see what you might be able to find there.

Closer to the party date you can decorate with whole fresh pineapples, bananas and coconuts which will often be cheaper than the fake paper stuff you can buy at a party store.
Reply:Pineapples. They serve as both decoration and food. Toward the end of the evening you can cut them and use them to make blender drinks, or slice them up and grill them. I like to brush them with a little olive oil and hot sauce before grilling. Mmm.

Remember making papier-mache when you were a kid? Blow up balloons and tape them or twist them together into the shapes you want. then cut up strips of newspaper and dip them into flour mixed with water to make the paste. Wrap the dipped strips around the balloons and let the whole thing dry; then you can paint. You could make fake fruit (coconuts, pineapples, bananas), monkeys, or just colorful random objects.
Reply:Dollar Tree has a whole aisle of luau stuff... Get pinapples and they have cute little tiki cups and leis and little trays just all sorts of stuff and you wont spend more than 40 or 50 dollars.. they even have the grass skirts and cocunut tops
Reply:There are a lot of hawaiian type things at the Dollar stores, you might want to check there, things are only a dollar and you wouldn't have to spend time making things.

I'm his first valentine! What cute crafty gift should i make him?

We are both in college now, and I really want to make him something crafty.. he and I have done things like that for each other in the past and now I ran out of ideas! I'm officially going to be his very FIRST valentine and I would love to do something cute for him. Here are the things I've made him and he made me before, so there won't be any repeats: fleece blanket, movie/music video (of all the pics he and I took from the first half year we dated), wrote him a song-played it on the guitar, bouquet of paper flowers, our "fairy tale" book %26lt;he did an F-ing good job on that one, customized m%26amp;ms...

One of the things I'm doing is making him a "missing me"-pills because he and I dont see each other much. I'm gnna customize the medicine bottle (to look prescripted) and fill it in with sweet tarts (he doesnt like chololate).

I NEED MORE! I heard he was doing something BIG!! I want to be able to make his first valentines special!!!!

HELP ON PAPER!!! Does this sound roight???

Reverence for Life by Albert Schweitzer was an essay about, as the title says, finding respect for life. He says we are all the same. ‘We’ being the animals, the plants, the bugs, the humans, etc. When you find a dead beetle in your path, you will recognize yourself in it, in everything. Schweitzer makes the excellent point that the human and the beetle both fulfill the sense of the word life. Meaning that they both are born; they both know pain; they both know fear; they both will soon know death. Yet, we would not kill a human being, but we would mindlessly kill a beetle or pick a flower. We have lost all true principles, and the current ones we own are superficial and ignorant. We talk about teaching the next generation a genuine set of values, when we have no set of values ourselves. He ends by once again stating the need for respect for life, of all forms.

Mind if I edit it a little?

"Reverence for Life by Albert Schweitzer is an essay about, as the title states, having respect for life. Dr. Schweitzer states that we are all the same, ‘we’ being animals, plants, insects and humans - everything, in fact, that lives. When you find a dead beetle in your path, you should recognize your connection to it it as another being that once shared what you still have: life.. Schweitzer makes the excellent point that the human and the beetle both fulfill the sense of the word life, meaning that both are born, both know pain and fear and both must die. Yet, while we would not kill a human being, most of us would carelessly step on a beetle or pick a flower. We have lost all the true principles and values, and our current ones are superficial and misplaced. How can we talk about teaching the next generation a genuine set of values, when we have none ourselves? Dr. Schweitzer ends the essay by restating the need for respect for life, in all its forms.
Reply:Some suggestions in the re-write below. Use "Word" and use the Spelling and Grammer check. Make sure the title is italizied.

Can I have help editing my english paper?

Semonides, it appears to be speaking about the many different stages of life, or directly relating to the title, how short and precious life is. Semonides happened to be a blind poet and writer who lived in the time of ancient Greece. He had many satirical poems about the various things he witnessed in everyday life. This poem was not one of his famous satires, but was a more serious statement about the facts of life. “The Brevity of Life” has much more meaning than you would think if you look deeper between the lines.

Semonides beautifully compared a colorful, growing flower to the short life that we have. “The lovely flower of youth grows tall with color.” He seems to long for the days when he was young, carefree, and death was the last thing that was set on his mind. I know little about this poet, but I am guessing that he may very well have been dying when he wrote this poem

this isn't the whole essay, but please tell me if i can improve anwhere :)
